Magic Cutthroat Gobius
Irresistible to sea trout – and flat-out FUN to tie – this week’s fly is all about action!
A magic head gives this pattern incredible erratic swimming motion that predatory fish can’t resist. This tie is built with classic, straightforward techniques – perfect for tiers of any skill level – and gave me the chance to test out the new Fulling Mill Pro Twisted Thread and some absolutely beautiful Coq de Leon from a Whiting Farms cape.
Whether you’re chasing sea trout, stripers, or any predator that loves a little wiggle in the water, this one belongs in your box. 💙
