Magic Schoolbus
This fly stopped me in my tracks when I first saw it while scrolling Reddit. The OP created his version (reminiscent of Popovic’s Schoolie Fleye) for smallies, and I was intruiged by the schooling fish design and the articulated back action. This entire fly was an engineering experiment for me, and there’s certainly room for improvement. As it stands, my resin bumps may interfere with a good hook set, and the fly needed the trailer hook point up and a coil of lead-free wire to swim properly. That said, there’s potential here! Hoping the snook in my area will give it a look.
