Cut Bait
The water’s running red this week – we’re soaking some fresh cut bait for Halloween vibes!
While browsing for fun Halloween-themed patterns to tie, I went down a Flugenzombie rabbit hole but ended up stumbling across Brita Fordice’s Zombie Baitfish. Instant inspiration! If you don’t know Brita’s work, you should – she’s a powerhouse and a true innovator at the vise!
The goal was for my baitfish to look freshly cut with milky, unseeing eyes. I’ve got a whole room full of wool, and these curly, hand-dyed wool locks were begging to be used. It all came together on the new Fulling Mill Universal Salt hook!
